Fortunes

The wheel of fortune is ever turning, they say: cycling through the positive and negative reactions of the Universe as we play along, watching the changes that take place before us. At times we masquerade as one who can effect those changes as they affect us.

We deceive ourselves with our philosophies, religions and truths. We blind ourselves with our own lies and wishful thinking. We hide our darkness, pain, hate and demons – only showing them when the wheel has turned against us. The wheel will always turn, yet our place can be fixed outside of this wheel. We can live in the half truths we were taught; in the lies, in the dreams and the visions of our imaginations. We can live outside the wheel, if we choose.

Outside of this wheel are our darkest secrets, our brightest hopes and the crushed reality of the future. Reality is relative to the sadness we left behind, the despair we keep within and the lost hopes of dreams we never had.

My place is outside of this wheel. Far, far away from all that I just now have forgotten. Stripped away is my flesh, my thoughts and the future we no longer have. And here is where I want you…

I want you to grow.
I want you to learn.
I want you to conserve.
I want you to preserve.
I want you to question.
I want you to denounce.
I want you to educate.

Defamation—also called calumny, vilification, slander (for transitory statements), and libel (for written, broadcast, or otherwise published words)—is the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government, or nation a negative image.

In common law jurisdictions, slander refers to a malicious, false and defamatory spoken statement or report, while libel refers to any other form of communication such as written words or images. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism. Related to defamation is public disclosure of private facts, which arises where one person reveals information that is not of public concern, and the release of which would offend a reasonable person. “Unlike [with] libel, truth is not a defense for invasion of privacy.”

False light laws are “intended primarily to protect the plaintiff’s mental or emotional well-being.” If a publication of information is false, then a tort of defamation might have occurred. If that communication is not technically false but is still misleading, then a tort of false light might have occurred.

In most civil law jurisdictions, defamation is dealt with as a crime rather than a tort.

A person who destroys another’s reputation may be referred to as a famacide, defamer, or slanderer. The Latin phrase famosus libellus means a libelous writing.

In physics, spacetime is any mathematical model that combines space and time into a single construct called the spacetime continuum.

Spacetime is usually interpreted with space being three-dimensional and time playing the role of a fourth dimension that is of a different sort than the spatial dimensions.

According to certain Euclidean space perceptions, the universe has three dimensions of space and one dimension of time. By combining space and time into a single manifold, physicists have significantly simplified a large number of physical theories, as well as described in a more uniform way the workings of the universe at both the supergalactic and subatomic levels.

Time flies and it isn’t always fun.

This month, two of my beautiful children found themselves a year older. The years pass, they grow older and wiser… I miss them, they are too far from me. My life is an endless struggle to be with my children, to love them and share with them every moment that I can squeeze out of me: for them. I am met with roadblocks and barriers, but persist… to the end of time, I persist. My heart belongs to them, eternally – my heart will always be with them, wherever they are at any given moment.
